The MIMA backorder list is growing steadily:

I will be ordering enough boards and other components to build 100 systems rather than the originally planned 50 systems.
The orders on the waiting list will be contacted by phone in the order that they sent me the forms. Once contacted,you will send payment, and the systems will be set out in the order that payments were received. I will be setting up a pay pal account so payment will be easier.
How the new MIMA systems are shaping up.
1.The system will NO LONGER be offered as a build it your self kit.
2.The mini discrete display that proved popular and easier to read, but was difficult to hand wire with a new PC board, this will be the standard display, and will be included in the price.
3.MIMA becomes a true plug in:
Because of the strong demand for MIMA, and the difficulty in finding an outside fab house to fabricate the special pins, I will bring MIMA to the next level by making it into a full plug in with no pin popping or other detailed wiring required. I have already purchased the 104 pin headers that the MCM and ECM use, and will make a small PC card that will have the header on one side, and a replica of the four stock harness connectors on the other. The MIMA harness will attach to this male female adapter board. The MIMA install with then amount to pulling the four connectors out of the ECM and MCM, and plugging this new harness in between.
The FAS will be a small option board that will also wire into this plug in board.It will also work stand alone like the present FAS systems.
This will increase the cost of the harness substantially, but will make MIMA something that you can pop in or out in an hour.
The harness will also be available at a much reduced price in the hard wired configuration.
The bicolor and other discrete displays will be available while supplies of the boards are still in stock.

Then send me an e-mail to let me know they are on the way, and to establish contact information. I will update the users page showing you on the waiting list, and I will send you the install video so you can see exactly what is involved in the install.
The reason I ask that you go through this process is to show that you have more than a passing interest. There is no deposit necessary,and you can chose to not get a system once they are available.

Please refer to the MIMA system and Installation Instructions on this site to become familiar with all aspects of the system and to understand what is involved in the installation.
New plug in install instructions will follow once I get the first new harness in hand.

If I am to continue with the level of support for MIMA, my research into how to cheaply add electric propulsion to standard vehicles,develop V-boost,and E+drive capabilities for the Insight and civic, I can't afford to work for $15 an hour building MIMA, so I will be sub contracting as much as possible, and I will assemble and final test each system and harness..
I can not give a price estimate for the system,as I will not know the cost until everything is in place.
The deeper I get into the process of looking for subcontractors and seeing how my project fits into their schedules, the more I am seeing the folly of trying to predict when systems will be ready.
Already I am getting e-mails asking for delivery dates.
I am going as fast on this as I can.
I still do consulting work, still need to make progress on my many other projects, and I want to do a nice job on this next run of MIMA systems.
Lets push MIMA systems estimate out to the end of August, into September, and give me some breathing room, so I can find good subcontractors at a reasonable price, and have time to document the new procedures and design the most robust plug in system I can.
Once the systems components are in hand, I will contact you via e-mail,and try to call you.
We will discuss the installation, and the system options that will be available.
Payment in full before shipping.Bank check,money order will expedite shipping.
If you send a personnel check, the check will have to clear before I ship.
